Last month I had the privilege of shooting Nani & Sione's engagement session. I had a great time with these two. They were humble, down to earth and just great people to be around. The bride-to-be chose the location which I immediately fell in love with. If you've been following my blog, then you know that anywhere near downtown L.A. is one of my favorite places to shoot! Anywho, these two will be tying the know next month in Sacramento. I am so happy for them and wish them nothing but the best!

When I initially meet with a client to discuss the details of their photo session such as locations of where they'd like to shoot, I usually get responses like the beach, local park, the high school they currently attend, etc.  When I met with High School Senior, Deidre Alo and her mother, Sharon, our meeting went a little differently. This ambitious High School Senior was set on where she wanted to have her photos taken: Signal Hill, the beach and the cemetery.  Not knowing the situation, I was curious why she had chosen the cemetery as I have never had such a request. She and her mother had shared with me that she had lost her father 2 years ago and that she was adamant about incorporating her father who was very influential in her life and meant everything to her. I can't imagine losing either of my parents at such a young age like Deidre did. I admire her strength and the love that she has for both of her parents. Thank you, Sharon and Deidre for sharing such a tender moment with me. Here is a preview from her photo session.

I am super excited to post photos from this Senior session. I have been craving to shoot in Downtown Los Angeles for a while now, so I was finally able to get my fix. It is always a privilege to be able to capture special times in people's lives. I remember when I was a high school senior many moons ago, I felt like I was on top of the world. Natalia, who is currently a Senior at Dominguez High was prepared for our photo session. From the preparation of the make-up and hair, to the stunning outfits, and lastly the location. I loved everything about this shoot and I am happy to say that we have a cinematic video trailer to give you a glimpse of our shoot that day. Thank you Natalia and everyone who helped to make this shoot as successful as it was!!

I love when I show up to a photo session and am welcomed by clients who are decked out and prepared for a photo shoot. That's exactly what happened with Ephraim, his wife Sanoe and their little bunch. Not only were they adorably color coordinated, but they also brought their family members along to assist and of course for the moral support ;) Thank you Ephraim and Sanoe for allowing me to capture your beautiful family!
