Some of you may know that I am just starting out with this whole photography thing. I have been receiving emails and messages on facebook regarding my pricing and what I charge. I was getting a little behind in replying to people and didn't have anything really consistent, sooooo I updated my pricing page and went ahead and whipped up a basic package until I know exactly what I want to offer to my clients. I think it'll do for now. Also, my blog is getting close to 1,000 hits/visits (so exciting!) and I think that calls for a FREE giveaway, the first giveaway might I add, so check back to enter into the drawing because you could be the lucky winner! So this was day 1 in the studio. I needed a model, so I decided to use my younger sister, Jackie. She is the 6th child out of the seven of us. She is also the only one who inherited my father's palagi (Samoan word for white/Caucasian) genes. When she was born people would see all of us together and think that we kidnapped her, haha. Since she was little, we would always refer to her as the "Blondie" because of her light hair (it's darker now) and well because of other things, hahaha. I'm kidding. I love my sister!

This past weekend, we had two deaths in the family. One of them was my Grandfather's brother and the other was my Father's sister. It is never easy saying farewell to a loved one, especially to a parent. Although it may be painful, I am grateful to know that there is a plan of happiness and that families can be together forever.

Occasionally, I am reminded. Sometimes through a conversation with a friend, maybe from a message or lesson shared during a church meeting, or maybe even in a form of a note. At times, well many times, I am afraid to take risks, do something different, or step out of my comfort zone. I still have a boatload of things to learn about this industry, career, and craft. I know that if this is something that I am willing to work hard for, sacrifice my weekends, lunches(lol) & morning Starbucks runs for, with God willing, I will be able to do just that.
